To Setup OKTA Verify on your new phone.

You will need to log on to www.massmutual.okta.com
 
Next go to your account Settings at the top right:

Then scroll down to find:

Click Remove to Remove the old one.
 
Then Click Setup.
 
On your Phone, open OKTA Verify, Setup Organization, use Scan QR Code Option.
 
Scan the QR code on your screen and it will Auto Setup to complete.

How do I set up Okta Verify for the first time for Okta Verify Mobile App Usage?

  • Open User Profile Settings & Change Extra Verification:


Sign in to your Okta Dashboard (click here for detailed instructions)







  1. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the landing page then select Settings from the drop down list.



  2. Click Edit Profile button.



  3. If you are prompted to enter your password, enter your password and click Verify. If you are not prompted to enter your password, proceed directly to Step 8



  4. Provide your response to verify your Two-Factor Security (Ex. SMS code)
  5. Click the Verify button to proceed
  6. Scroll down to Extra Verification and click Setup next to Okta Verify Mobile App

Open User Profile Settings & Change Extra Verification

  1. Select the image that represents your mobile device type (Apple, Android or Windows Phone). This will display two additional steps to install Okta Verify on your device.



  2. Open the app store on your mobile device and search for Okta Verify.
  3. Download the Okta Verify app on your mobile device and Click the Next button on the Set up Okta Verify screen. 
     
    • The screen will now display 2 steps to configure Okta Verify on your device.

  4. Open the Okta Verify app on your device and press the Add Account button on the Welcome screen at the bottom of the app.
  5. Press the Continue button at the bottom of the app to allow camera and push notifications.
  6. Hold your phone up to the monitor and scan the barcode on the screen.



  7. When enrolled successfully, the app will confirm it enrolled successfully, and the barcode will show a green check mark.



  8. Click the Done button

    • Setup is now complete! If you browse back to your Extra Verification options, you should now see Reset instead of Setup next to Okta Verify Mobile App.


 

Technical Notes:

If you are unable to scan the barcode you can click the "Problems scanning barcode?" link next to done.

There are three options to pick from:  

 

  1. The email link will not work as it can only be sent to your MassMutual email.

  2. SMS is the best option.
    1. Go to the Play Store/App Store to download the Okta Verify app.
    2. Enter your cell phone number.
    3. You should receive a link via SMS.  Clicking the link should import the token to the app automatically.

  3. Manual setup will work but disables the push option.
    1. Go to the Play Store/App Store to download the Okta Verify app.
    2. In the Okta Verify app, there should be a blue + sign in the lower right corner, click this to import a token.
    3. The barcode scanner will come up.  At the bottom there is a button for "no barcode"
    4. Enter the Okta Account information into the username field and the Secret Key (This will be pre-populated if "setup manually without push authentication" is selected).
